I love the basslines. Rob has taught me the importance of "less is more", and that I shouldn't be afraid of the bass as a melodic instrument. "Waterline" is a true masterpiece, and damn hard to play properly. Inspiring for a student of the bass. How about some basstabs for members of this forum?
thanks for great grooves,
Jeff

Thanks Jeff! That's my favorite bassline that wasn't played on a bass... it was actually done on a Fender Strat, through a Roland VG-8. I couldn't get the tone I wanted from any of my basses, so I went with a non-standard approach; it took some work to get the feel right, but I love the way it turned out!
